A focused informational website
A custom, mobile-friendly site that explains the business, its services, and the clearest way to get in touch.

We are setting aside time to build strong informational websites for local businesses that can put them to work. It is one way we can give back, prove what we do, and earn trust one useful project at a time.

Why we are doing this
The Rio Grande Valley is full of capable businesses whose work is stronger than their current online presence. Some are new. Some have grown through word of mouth. Some simply have not had the time or budget to build a website that represents them well.
This program lets us put a limited amount of our design and development time back into the community. In return, we get the chance to learn from more local industries, strengthen our portfolio, and show future clients what careful work can do in the real world.
Referrals are hoped for, never owed.
We hope a successful project earns good word of mouth. A selected business is not required to promise referrals, post a positive review, or misrepresent its experience. We would rather earn trust through the work.
Included in selected builds
The exact page count and feature list are agreed before work starts. Every accepted project stays focused enough to build well within the program.
A custom, mobile-friendly site that explains the business, its services, and the clearest way to get in touch.
Basic on-page SEO and technical SEO are implemented so search engines can understand and crawl the finished site.
We incorporate WCAG best practices such as semantic structure, keyboard-friendly interactions, readable contrast, and useful labels.
We cover hosting and most standard domain registrations within the program's predetermined domain budget.
The client owns the finished website and project assets from start to finish. The work does not become ours because it was free.
We work directly with the selected owner, learn the business, and build something useful rather than dropping in a generic template.
WCAG best practices are incorporated into the agreed build, including semantic structure, useful alternative text, keyboard-friendly interactions, clear form labels, and readable contrast. This is not an accessibility certification and does not guarantee ADA compliance. Ongoing accessibility also depends on client content, third-party tools, and future changes.

Basic on-page and technical SEO are implemented: page titles, descriptions, crawlable navigation, heading structure, image alternatives, canonical signals, sitemap inclusion, and core indexing setup. Rankings, leads, and traffic are not guaranteed.

Ownership promise
Built for you. Owned by you.
No ownership catch
The client completely owns the finished website and the project assets created for it from start to finish. We do not claim the business, its customer information, or the finished site because the build was provided through this program.
Costs and boundaries
We would rather explain the boundaries before someone applies than surprise a selected business later.
Domain policy: if the requested domain costs more than our predetermined domain budget, the client must purchase the domain in full. We will confirm that cost before moving forward. Choosing a different available standard domain may keep the project within the free program.
How selection works
Free projects still require planning, communication, and time. Selection is based on fit and capacity, not simply who submits first.
Tell us what the business does, where it serves the RGV, what the website needs to accomplish, and how ready the content is.
We look at community connection, project scope, readiness, potential impact, and the number of free builds already in progress.
Before work starts, we agree on pages, responsibilities, the domain plan, content, timing, ownership, and what is outside the program.
We create the site, review it together, complete launch checks, and connect the approved website to its hosting and domain.
The business is based in or actively serves the Rio Grande Valley.
The owner can provide accurate information, feedback, and approvals.
The website can solve a clear problem for customers or the community.
Common questions
No. The program has limited capacity and a wait-list. We review whether the business serves the RGV, whether its project fits an informational website, whether the owner is ready to participate, and whether we can responsibly complete the work. Applying does not guarantee acceptance.
No. E-commerce, online checkout, product payment systems, marketplaces, memberships, and custom web applications are outside this program. Businesses that need online selling can review our paid Shopify and custom website options.

The client owns the completed website and the project assets created for it from start to finish. If we would like to feature the finished work in our portfolio, we discuss that with the client as part of the project agreement.
Hosting is covered for approved program websites, and most standard domain registrations fit within our predetermined domain budget. If the requested domain is premium-priced or otherwise exceeds that budget, the client must purchase the domain in full. We explain the cost before any purchase is made.
Yes. We implement basic on-page SEO and technical SEO foundations, including clear page structure, metadata, crawlable links, image alternatives, and core indexing setup. Search rankings and traffic are never guaranteed.
No. We incorporate practical WCAG best practices into the agreed build, but that is not a certification or a guarantee of ADA compliance. Accessibility also depends on the business's content, third-party tools, and future changes. A business with specific legal obligations should obtain qualified legal and accessibility advice.
